Cob
Walling
Cob is an ancient building material which consists of subsoil, sand, straw and water. When it is mixed it can be laid on a masonry plinth and built in successive ‘lifts’ to create structures.
There are thousands of cob buildings already existing in the county and it is becoming a popular alternative for many new sustainable buildings.
